How We Started:  R.J. Bell developed the first fuel additive in 1909. The next break-through, which made additives what they are today, came in 1927 when Mr. Bell perfected his multi-functional gas additive, MIX-I-GO.

In 1954, Mr. Bell developed the first diesel additive, DEE-ZOL.

Today, Bell Performance has become well known for its leading fuel supplements in the marine, consumer and industrials markets. Bell Performance is constantly pioneering new ways to solve fuel and lubrication problems and is at the forefront of the fuel performance industry.

Bell’s newest products are single-treat products that are specially designed for the consumer marketplace: gasoline, diesel, and ethanol blends, and engine oil.

Bell Performance, Inc. (formerly Bell Additives) was founded January 1, 1909. The company is the inventor of the first fuel additive and has served the diesel truck market since 1960.
